Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 July 2026
1. Introduction
These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of InspectReady at inspectready.co.uk (“the Service”), including our free tools, accounts, and paid subscriptions. The Service is operated by Crocker Digital Ltd (Company No. 17008789), registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Free Tools
We provide free CQC compliance tools (self-assessments, audit schedule generators, evidence gap checkers, and similar). These tools are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
- Tool outputs are guidance, not professional advice. They do not replace qualified legal, regulatory, or healthcare compliance advice.
- All data you enter into our free tools is processed entirely in your browser. We do not store, transmit, or collect any data you enter.
- We may update, modify, or discontinue any tool at any time without notice.
3. Accounts
When you create an account you provide your name and email address so we can set up your workspace and send service messages such as reminders and billing notices. We will not use your details for any other purpose without your explicit consent. You can close your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions, Trials and Billing
InspectReady is offered on paid subscription plans — Single Home at £49/month (or £500/year) and Small Group at £99/month (or £1,010/year). Prices are the full amount payable. New accounts include a 14-day free trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where required by law, fees already paid for a billing period are non-refundable, but you keep access until the end of that period.
- If a payment fails, we retry it and give you a grace period during which you can still read your data and download evidence packs you have already generated. If payment is not recovered, access is suspended until it is.
- We may change plan pricing on reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.
5. Your Data and Data Processing
When you upload your home’s policies, audits, and evidence, you are the controller of any personal data in that material and we act as your processor. That relationship is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms and takes effect automatically when you create an account. Our sub-processors and retention and deletion practices are set out on those pages, and how we handle your own account data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which (among other things) limits the special-category data you may upload to what is strictly necessary as compliance evidence. Breaching that policy may result in suspension or termination.
These documents are published at: Data Processing Agreement — inspectready.co.uk/legal/dpa/ ; Acceptable Use Policy — inspectready.co.uk/legal/acceptable-use/ ; Sub-processors — inspectready.co.uk/legal/subprocessors/ .
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, guides, tool designs, logos, and code — is owned by Crocker Digital Ltd or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except for reasonable personal or internal business use (e.g., printing a checklist for your care home).
7. Accuracy and Regulatory Information
Our content references CQC regulations, legislation, and guidance current at the time of writing. Regulations change. We review content regularly but cannot guarantee it reflects the very latest regulatory position. Always verify critical compliance decisions against the original source (e.g., legislation.gov.uk, CQC.org.uk).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crocker Digital Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service (together with any claim under the Data Processing Agreement) shall not exceed the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, for the free tools, zero).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to external websites (e.g., legislation.gov.uk, CQC.org.uk). We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party sites.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
